Airvis chooses AV8 Flight School for drone training

Edinburgh, April 27th, 2021

Airvis announced today the selection of AV8 Flight School to provide formal UK CAA certification training to its operational teams and clients, prior to completing the company’s in-house advanced systems training.

Airvis, a leading UK service provider of drone security and surveillance, will use AV8’s unique fully-virtual training model to help scale their capability to meet their growing operational demands across the UK and overseas.

Keith Robinson, Airvis’ Managing Director said “a critical part of our growth strategy is to be able to respond dynamically to changing operational requirements, both in delivering training to our own security teams located across the globe, as well as directly to our client’s operatives. AV8 Flight School’s virtual model removes all the geographical and accessibility barriers that usually come with traditional classroom training, meaning we can scale at a moment’s notice and maintain our high safety and quality standards”.

The deal comes as part of AV8’s much anticipated Training Partner Programme, designed to integrate their certification courses into organisations that deal in highly specialised drone applications and advanced training.

Said Jon Anderson, AV8’s CEO “Airvis are a key strategic partner for us as we further develop our virtualised training model. I’m thrilled we’ve been able to develop an integrated service for their remote pilot training programme”.

Once remote pilots have completed formal certification with AV8, they progress to more complex drone systems via Airvis’ bespoke training, before deploying to active operations.
