We provide you with a detailed preparation flight assessment pack at the start of your GVC course, so you can practice while you learn.
Once your test date comes around, we'll connect in with you via video call to run through the preparation and make sure you're set up for success.
2. Convenient
When you're ready for your test, select a date and time that suits you from any one of our assessment centres across the UK.
After you book your assessment you'll automatically receive a welcome pack for your chosen location with everything you need to ace the test.
3. Trusted
All assessments are carried out by experienced instructor examiners, fully vetted and trained by AV8. All tests are conducted under rigorous health and safety standards including detailed Covid precautions.
4. Accessible
Additional support is available to students who have specific mobility or other special support requirements.

The GVC practical flight test consists of pre-flight planning, operational set up, a set of predefined manoeuvres, simulated emergencies, and operational close-down.
As you reach your flight test, you'll already be very familiar with every aspect of the assessment and we provide plenty of practice and support to make sure you ace it first time around.
With nine test centres across the U.K. and availability on-demand during weekdays and weekends, taking your flight test couldn't be easier!

If you're brand new to drones, then the full GVC course is for you. Designed for anyone, regardless of previous experience or learning style, we give you everything you need to achieve your GVC.
Upgrade your legacy PfCO to the full GVC the easy way. 100% online, no flight test requirement and all your operations manual updates are provided. A2 CofC is also included as standard.
Exclusively for graduates of AV8's A2 CofC course! We designed the A2 and GVC courses to fit hand-in-glove; this means you can progress to the GVC without repeating any content.
